Wool Revival is a sustainable yarn collection developed by West Yorkshire Spinners, a company committed to reducing waste and supporting local production. Each year, WYS processes thousands of kilos of British wool. During this process, leftover fiber from spinning - material that would normally go to waste - is collected and given a new life. A small amount of recycled nylon from previous spins is blended in to enhance durability. This reclaimed fibre is sent to a local partner for carding, combing, and conversion into tops, then returned to WYS’s mill for spinning. After spinning, the yarn is dyed locally and returned once again for finishing, balling, and packing. Impressively, the entire process takes place within a 10-mile radius of their mill. Wool Revival is a testament to West Yorkshire Spinners’ dedication to sustainability, craftsmanship, and the value of British wool.
